There is a reason people go to Croatia for a great time, it is the perfect place to party and have fun without being too hectic.
We spent nights out at some amazing places, as well as partied on the boat with the wicked people we were lucky enough to spend the week with. Perhaps my favourite night was Gender Bender on the boat, we anchored down, dressed up in clothes for the opposite sex, watched the sunset and partied in to the wee hours – Was such a laugh!
We went out to Revelin and Cafe Galeria in Dubrovnik, Sunset Bar in Korcula, Hula Hula Bar, Nautical and Carpe Diem in Hvar as well as Gaga’s bar and F Cafe Club in Split. The drinks were cheap, music was good and the Carpe Diem was amazing – an outdoor club, a party amongst the trees.
What made this trip truly fantastic was the amazing people it was spent with. The Fanatics guides – Bonks & Alex – were incredible, so much fun, such a laugh, experienced and able to keep things in order and all the guys in our sail group were some of the best people I could have hoped to meet.
That’s the thing about a trip like this, you are thrown in with a random bunch of people and before you know it you are planning future trips together, organising beers in London and having conversations with them that you haven’t even had with people you’ve known for 10 years. It’s crazy how well you connect with people when travelling; I think it’s because you have a common interest and so many stories to tell, everyone is so interesting, every travel story so exotic and you find yourself having such a good time that before you know it the week is over and you’re reeling at how fast it went.
So this is my thanks to all those people that made my sail Croatia week one of the best of my life – Cheers!
